Whether “5MB” means 5,000,000 bytes or 5,242,880 bytes (5 MiB) differs between services. GIFsize always uses the smaller one (1MB = 1,000,000 bytes), so the result fits either way.
It depends a lot on the content, but for 5MB try starting around 640–800px wide, 10–12 fps, 5–8 seconds. Screen recordings with a still background fit much longer clips; handheld camera footage may need to be shorter. For quick actions, 1.5–2× speed fits the same motion into fewer frames.
There’s more room here — 640px or more at 15 fps is often possible. For screen recordings with lots of text, choose “Sharper”.
Large enough for most product clips at full width. Remember that big GIFs also slow down page loading, so smaller is still kinder to shoppers.
